Bani Antonio Aguirre is a graduate student at the John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public health. She received her medical degree from Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City. As a medical student, Bani contributed to genetics epidemiology projects in admix populations and research in degenerative diseases of the retina. At John Hopkins, she joined the All Children See committee and the Children’s Vision Equity Coalition, where she became involved in vision screening research and helped develop recommendations to conduct vision screening during the COVID-19 pandemic in Maryland.Â
